Family
At Royal Dixie Poodles, we hold the heartfelt conviction that Standard Poodles are cherished members of the family, deserving the utmost care, love, and affection. Each year, we nurture just one carefully planned litter from each Dame, dedicating countless hours to their health, happiness, and development. Our pups are lovingly raised to be deeply family- and child-oriented, ensuring they fit seamlessly into their new homes. They begin their potty training journey early and master crate training, making them ready for cozy date nights or quiet moments at home. To support their growth and vitality, we provide them with the finest nutrition available, setting the foundation for a long, healthy life. Our devotion ensures that each puppy is not just a pet but a beloved member of the family, ready to bring endless joy and companionship to your home.
Enhancement of the Breed
At Royal Dixie Poodles, we set sail on a journey of discovery with each result from our Embark and AKC DNA Genetics and Health tests. These insights are a testament to the dedication we hold in ensuring the health and well-being of our poodles. Our esteemed parents are meticulously cleared by the OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) and proudly hold their CHIC certificates, meeting all required Poodle-specific and general health examinations. This rigorous process guarantees that our breeding program prioritizes health, longevity, and vitality. We are delighted to provide new puppy parents with copies of these comprehensive health checks, offering peace of mind and the assurance of welcoming a vibrant, healthy companion into their family. With Royal Dixie Poodles, you’re not just gaining a pet—you’re gaining a promise of quality, care, and unconditional love.
Develop the Perfect Puppy
Puppy development begins at conception, and training can start as early as day 3, continuing until the puppy is ready to go to its forever home. Below are five Bio-Sensory exercises designed to stimulate the neurological system of puppies, which are incorporated into their daily routine: 1. Tactile Stimulation: The puppy is held in one hand, and the handler gently tickles the pup between the toes on any one foot. 2. Head Held Erect: The puppy is held perpendicular to the ground using both hands. 3. Head Pointed Down: The puppy is held firmly with both hands, and its head is reversed so that it points downward towards the ground. 4. Supine Position: The puppy is positioned so that its back rests in the palm of both hands, with its muzzle facing the ceiling. 5. Thermal Stimulation: A damp towel that has been cooled in a refrigerator for at least five minutes is used. The puppy is placed on the towel, feet down.
